HURRICANE: horizontal flow-wrap type packaging machine for producing packs sealed on three sides from a roll of heat-sealable packaging film.
Hurricane unites a high degree of operating flexibility with an excellent production capacity.
The maximum packaging speed is 100 mechanical cycles per minute while the average set-up changing time is about 3 minutes.
For packaging products in the foodstuffs sector in general, as well as cosmetics, pharmaceutical products, stationery products and many other products.
Modular construction facilitates machine customization and assures complete protection of the internal components.

 

  • Packaging which is strong, attractive and perfect:

The special design of the forming tunnel, the optimum calendar and roller device for film transfer and the position of the various component units combine to give a machine which wraps the product perfectly and produces seals which are wrinkle free and positioned correctly.

 

  • High flexibility and quick format change:

Hurricane EW can package a vast range of regularly shaped, solid products from the food, stationary, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors.  It is not necessary to change any mechanical part in order to change the set-up, this is done by using two handwheels which carry out immediate adjustments to the length of the package and the speed of the sealing crimpers.

  • Driven by two brushless motors in electric axis for separate control of the longitudinal and transversal sealing units

Available versions:

  • Mechanical version, only in Extra-Wide: 750 mm film roll, 350 mm sealing unit.
     
  • Electronic (2 axes): 500 mm film roll, 250 mm sealing unit.

  • Shrink: for heat-shrinkable packaging materials with lengthwise and crosswise edge sealing and salvage of excess material.

    TECHNICAL DATA :

  • Suitable packaging materials: laminated, bonded or micro-perforated polypropylene, polyethylene, heat-shrinkable and trimmable materials.
  • Packaging speed: up to 100 packs/min (150 packs/min in special version).
  • Packageable product size: length min 15 mm max 350 mm; width min 5 max 320 mm; height max 140 mm.
  • Automatic loading systems: in line, 90º and drop down loading, along with many other systems designed according to specific requirements.
